WriteTime's aim is to develop, devise and produce new writing and offers writers from any background the opportunity to experiment and try out new ideas in a variety of settings. We welcome submissions throughout the year from writers across the world and do not place limitations on subject matter or style.

Regular events include:

WriteBites – This evening of short plays provides writers with a platform to experiment with new material in the informal setting of the bar at London’s prestigious RADA and encourages writers from all backgrounds and experience to submit scripts. Fully rehearsed but with minimal set and costume, a selection of short plays will be performed by an ensemble of actors, and the audience, directors, writers and the cast are encouraged to discuss the pieces afterwards over a glass of wine.

The Horniman read-throughs - These take place in London Bridge several times throughout the year where professional actors are given scripts on the day in order to try out new material in a fresh and exciting manner and provoke discussion amongst the group. The most successful pieces will be considered for WriteBites.

So On And So Forth – A night of comedy sketches written by John Sheerman and Nicholas Gadd and performed by WriteTime actors.
